Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

18th October, 2004 - Press Release 18/10/04

Martlesham Brass' busy autumn period continues into November, with no sign of a let up before the traditional Christmas fun of carolling and fundraising.
Saturday 6th November is Tea and Tunes. This is a chance for some of the less experienced players in the Band to shine, as it is an event solely for our Beginner and Preliminary groups. Despite being relatively new to the Band these players always put on an amazing show at this Gig, and there is the added incentive for the audience of a Cup of Tea and a Biscuit while you listen. Tea and Tunes is held at St Michaels Church in Martlesham, performances will start at 10am but get their early to reserve your table near the Tea stand.
On Sunday 14th November a large proportion of the Band will be involved at Rememberance Day Services. The Main and Intermediate Bands will be leading the Parade through Woodbridge, while a small group will be providing accompaniment at St Marys Rememberance Day Service in Martlesham.
Saturday 20th November will see the Main Band performing at Orwell Yacht Club, always a great fun event for the Band.
November 27th marks the start of the Christmas Events with the Christmas Lights switch on in Aldeburgh, which is closely followed by the Intermediate Bands Coffee and Carols event on Saturday 4th December at St Michaels Church in Martlesham. An event solely for the Intermediate Band to showcase their talent for Carols, while the audience enjoy a nice warming coffee.
For any information on any of these events or to book Martlesham Brass for future bookings please contact our Booking Secretary Julie Clapsom on (01473) 620240.
