Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

1st July, 2001 - Martlesham Monthly/Kesgrave News entry for July 2001

July 7th sees Martlesham Brass performing at both the Kesgrave Fun Day and Martlesham Village Day 'Music on the Green'.
July is the month where our summer band activities peak with our Summer Concert on July I4th. This year it is being held in the Martlesham Community Centre at 7pm.

For those who missed our main band performing, alongside Kesgrave High School, Birchwood and Kesgrave Youth Club, in the Martlesham Musicmakers performance at Snape Maltings in May, now is your chance to see us. And for those that did, come and see what else we can do!

All 110 players belonging to Martlesham Brass will have the opportunity to perform at this concert. Tickets for this brilliant evening are only £1, if bought in advance or £1.50 on the night. Tickets may be obtained by telephoning lpswich 611578 or 623275, or by seeing a band member at Kesgrave Fun day or Martlesham Village day.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people, organisations and businesses that donated items to our Grand draw at our Summer Fayre on 23rd June. Thanks also to those of you that came and helped to make it a great day raising much needed funds.

Martlesham Brass provides a great opportunity for folks of all ages and abilities to make music. If you would like more information about the band go to http://www.martleshambrass.btinternet.co.uk.
