Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

Martlesham Brass
'Making Music Fun in East Anglia'

We had a very successful Christmas carolling season â" thank you to everyone who generously dropped pennies and pounds into our buckets! The grand total was £1136.57,which will be divided between our chosen charities - National Childbirth Trust (NCT) Ipswich Branch, St Elizabeth Hospice and 4YP (Suffolk Young peopleâs Health Project).
Please remember to get your tickets NOW for our concert with Owen Farr (solo horn player with the world famous Cory Band) on Saturday 2nd March, starting at 7pm at St Michaels Church Centre, Martlesham Heath. Tickets are available by visiting our website www.martleshambrass.co.uk or by visiting the 2nd Stop Charity Shop next to Tesco in Kesgrave or by phoning 07802 868924.
Owen is recognised as the United Kingdoms leading tenor horn clinician and he is dedicated to improving teaching methods for the instrument he loves. Owen teaches at the Royal Welsh College of Music, Birmingham Conservatoire and the Royal Northern College of Music. Lyrical tone quality and stunning technical precision have become his trade mark so we are really looking forward to learning as much as we can at the workshop he is running for all our bands during the day.
Our band welcomes new players young and old, with or without experience. Our aim is to encourage anyone who feels they would like to play in a brass band to come and have a go! If you would like to join us, or if you already play or have previously played a brass instrument and feel that you would like to come along and meet us, please contact us via the website or use the contact details below.
