Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

Martlesham Brass
'Making Music Fun in East Anglia'

Thank you to everyone who supported our âFilm and TV Themesâ concert in February, we had almost a full house and raised over £600 for the Haiti earthquake appeal â" a fantastic result! On 25th April we shall be marching along Felixstowe 'Prom' to a service at The Spa Pavilion for the annual St. George's Day Parade organised by Orwell District Scouts. Also on 25th, our Main Band Conductor Adam Cable will be running in the London Marathon in aid of Cancer Research UK â" we all wish him the very best of luck!!
We have recently been very fortunate to receive a BT Champions Award of £100 towards holding a workshop day for our members. The workshop, to be later this year, will give training on all aspects of playing in a Brass Band, from music theory to care of instruments and deportment when on stage etc.
Two very advance dates to put in your diaries â" our Spring Concert on Saturday 1st May at Kesgrave Community Centre and our Band Summer Fair on Saturday 12th June at St Michaelâs Church Centre on Martlesham Heath.
Our band welcomes new players young and old, with or without experience. Our aim is to encourage anyone who feels they would like to play in a brass band to come and have a go! If you would like to join us, or if you already play or have previously played a brass instrument and feel that you would like to come along and meet us, please contact us via the website or use the contact details below.
