Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

'Making Music Fun in East Anglia'

Christmas is coming! And to get you in the festive mood why not come along to our 'Coffee and Carols' event on Saturday 6th December from 10am to 12 noon at St Michael's Church, Martlesham Heath? Everyone is welcome to listen and enjoy refreshments in a relaxed atmosphere. As mentioned last time, our Christmas concert is on Sunday 21st December at 7pm at the Kesgrave Community Centre. Tickets from Chris Beale 07802 868924 -£2.50 (primary school children free). No doubt you will soon see us playing carols at a supermarket near you! This year we shall give 50% of all our collections to charities chosen by the players. Since the band started in 1996 we have given almost £9300 to charity thanks to your generous donations in our collecting bucketsâ" we are hoping to reach £1000 this year! Two advance dates for your diaries â" Beetle Drive 31st January and on 28th February we shall welcome Brett Baker, Principal Trombone with The Black Dyke Band, to teach at our workshop and then perform in a concert with us â" very exciting!!
Our band welcomes new players young and old, with or without experience. Our aim is to encourage anyone who feels they would like to play in a brass band to come and have a go! If you would like to join us, or if you already play or have previously played a brass instrument and feel that you would like to come along and meet us, please contact us via the website or use the contact details below.
