Martlesham Brass
'Making Music Fun in East Anglia'
The band has a rest from playing in August, so this month we would like to take this opportunity to say some big 'thank yous'! We were very grateful for a revenue grant from Suffolk Coastal District Council to help with our running costs. Suffolk County Council generously helped towards the purchase of shower-proof fleeces to keep us dry and warm when we play outside, and also some ties for our concert performances. Finally, we would especially like to say thank you to all the Martlesham residents and other visitors who kindly supported our Summer Fayre, and all the businesses who provided the brilliant raffle prizes â" ITFC;The New Wolsey; The Black Tiles;Beacon Rally Karts; Colchester Zoo;Ipswich Regent;Kingpin; The Riverside;Solar Bowl; Kidz Kingdom; Tesco; Deben Inns; The Douglas Bader and Duncan's Butchers and Bakery.
Our band welcomes new players young and old, with or without experience. Our aim is to encourage anyone who feels they would like to play in a brass band to come and have a go! If you would like to join us, or if you already play or have previously played a brass instrument and feel that you would like to come along and meet us, please contact us via the website or use the contact details below.
