Summer Fayre

We would like to thank everyone who supported the fayre, it was a great success. We raised around £950!

17th Birthday Bash

Barn Dance - Saturday 14th September at St Michaels.
We are currently on the lookout for players who might like to help provide music for this event, four types of players are needed :-
Tune players - on violin, clarinet, flute, trumpet, cornet, sax, recorder, whistles etc
Chord players - on keyboard, accordion, guitar
Bass players - on electric bass, double bass or keyboard
Drum players - on tambourines and stuff!
The music provided is basic (tunes with chords) and although the tunes are fairly simple, they usually have to be played quite fast. Paul Benyon will be arranging a short practice early in September, although quite a lot of sight reading is likely to be involved on the night itself.
If you think you might like to play, please have a chat with Paul Benyon and take a look at the sample of the music at http://www.martleshambrass.co.uk/barndance.pdf . Sarah Cable will be circulating a barn dance invitation soon which will allow you to register your interest.
Tickets will be on sale soon. Costs will be £2.00 per person and will be on sale at band nights.
