It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

++_Summer Fayer - Special Edition Newsletter

The ever popular Martlesham Brass Summer Fayre is to be held on Saturday 11th June 2011. The event is to be held at St Michaels Church Centre Martlesham Heath and on the village green.

Weather not looking good? Fear not, the event will still go ahead so please still come.

Please find below details of what will be happening during the afternoon and the attractions that have been booked.

1pm All band members to arrive (BBQ will be available for lunch if required!)
1.45pm â�" Massed Band Performance
2pm â�" Main Band Performance
3pm â�" Beginners Performance
3.20pm â�" Preliminary Band Performance
3.50pm â�" Intermediate Band Performance
4.30pm â�" GRAND DRAW
Please note there will be no after fayre party this year, instead we will be having a 15th Birthday party on Saturday 3rd September â�" invites will be sent out soon.

++Refreshments and BBQ will be available all afternoon

++Hamper Raffle
Each band will be asked to put together a summer hamper to be raffled during the afternoon, please look out for the food/drink lists at band practice.

++Cake Stall
Everyone�s favourite please make the cake stall a great success by baking cakes to sell on the stall. Donations of cakes can be brought at band practice on Friday 10th or on the day - thanks

++Family Stalls
Don�t miss out on this great opportunity to run your own stall in aid of Martlesham Brass, the wackier the better. If you wish to run your own stall please let Jayne know so enough tables can be allocated.

++Craft stalls
A great opportunity for a bit of retail therapy!

++Grand Draw
Each family should now have some grand draw tickets to sell for the band, please make every effort to sell as many as you can.

During the course of the afternoon we would really appreciate some of your time to help us supervise the stalls. Additional assistance is crucial as many of the fundraising committee will be performing at some point during the afternoon! If you can help please email [email protected] or look out for the sheet to complete at band practice over the next few weeks.

And last but not least ... The chance to chill out in the sun (fingers crossed!) and listen to all of the bands that make Martlesham Brass.
