Christmas Carolling

Once again we had a most successful Christmas carolling season. We raised over £2000 and we are donating the sum of £752.76 to each of the three local charities we supported this year! Thank you to all the players who shivered outside the supermarkets, to all the collectors who braved the cold, and to all the generous people who smiled as they dropped coins (and notes!) into our buckets.

AGM

We shall be holding our AGM on Friday 4th March at 7.30pm also at St Michael's - everyone is invited to come along and find out what the bandleaders have planned for 2011!
Please make every effort to attend as this gives you the ability to find out more information about the band and the way that the organisation operates.
All committee positions are available for nomination, and we ask that you consider the posts that are available - we're always looking for new people to be involved!
Joy Porter is standing down from her position of Secretary. Her job is to take minutes during the committee meetings, help with booking venues and dealing with engagement requests, as well as dealing with all general correspondence.
All job descriptions can be found on our website.

Main Band Positions

The Main Band is looking for Tenor Horn and Bass Trombone players.

Watchet Tour 2011 - update

All accommodation and the coach has now been booked for the tour and thanks to the announcement of the additional bank holiday (thanks to Kate and William!) we have a few more people on the coach which will help keep the costs down. It is likely we will still leave Martlesham at tea time but definite timings are still to be decided. Bruce has been busy in Watchet getting his and other local bands together to join us at the workshop on Saturday and is already planning with MB bandleaders the music we are going to be playing. There are still coach spaces available and I am sure accommodation could still be booked if there are any latecomers that would like to join us or just fancy a long weekend in Somerset! Please see Jayne Howlett for further details.
