All members and families are invited to the MB Christmas party on Friday 17th December from 7pm. Ali the Magician will be there to entertain the younger members and the older members can enjoy various games in the church extension. We will be providing party food during the evening.
All bands are playing at our Christmas Concert on the 18th of December at Kesgrave High School's Thomas Theatre from 7pm. Raffle prizes are also welcome!
Tickets are £2.50 (primary school children free).
Best Dressed Instrument Awards
At the Christmas Concert, we'll be having a best dressed instrument award, with one player from each band to be awarded a prize on the day.
Please make your instrument as sparkly as possible, but please do not use sellotape as it can damage the lacquer.
Coffee and Carols
The Intermediate band is playing at St Michael's Church at 10am on Saturday 4th December. Donations of cakes and raffle prizes will be very welcome.

Oxjam Concert, Main Band - 23rd October
The Band are pleased to announce that the concert raised £310 in aid of Oxjam. Thanks to all who came to the concert, it was a great success!
Tea and Tunes - 6th of November
The Band are also pleased to announce that the recent Prelims concert at St Michael's church raised £200 for the Somersham Ward at Ipswich Hospital. Thanks to all who came, and those that helped and donated raffle prizes.
This year, 100% of the money raised during carolling will be donated to our chosen charities. This year, the nominated charities are:
- Headway Kesgrave
- Suffolk Young People's Health Project
- Ipswich branch of the Alzheimer's Society
As well as having people out playing, we require people to help to collect. People need to be 16 or over to collect - please put down any dates you or any of your friends or family can do, on the ticklists.
You will be receiving ticklists, and we ask you to return them to us by the 26th of November (next week, please!) This will help us to ensure that all carolling events are covered.
Please note that during our carolling engagements, under 16's should be accompanied by an adult who could either collect or do some shopping (if at a supermarket) as carolling can sometimes finish early.
Furthermore, all players are welcome to attend any of the carolling jobs, not just the ones allocated to their band!
Future date for your diary...
We will be holding a quiz night on Saturday 5th February 2011, all proceeds from this evening will be going to help fund the Watchet tour. Taking 40+ people nearly 300 miles is going to be a costly but enjoyable experience, there are plans for workshops, a joint concert and of course the chance to catch up with the Eyley's and the members of Watchet Band.
