It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

Instrument Amnesty

Do you have any band instruments at home that you�re not using? Please bring them along to practice on the 16th of July.

Last practice before Summer

As the band take a summer break during August, the last practice in July will be on the 30th. As some members are away on that date, there will be a joint rehearsal with all bands at St Michaelâ��s Church from 7pm â�" 8pm.

September Start Dates

Band starts back in September, with the first Friday night rehearsal taking place on the 3rd, and the first Wednesday rehearsal on the 8th.

New Band Secretary Needed

Joy Porter is standing down as Secretary this year. To help with the transition of duties to a new member, we�re on the early lookout for a replacement. If you�re interested in helping with the running of the band, please see Joy to discuss.

New Uniform needed?

If you need new uniform, please speak to Simon Chalklen before the summer break, so that we can get an order in.

Alternative Talents Evening - Saturday 16th October 2010 - St Michaels church, Martlesham

If you have an alternative talent you wish to show off please ensure you get your registration form from Chris Beale before the summer break.
Tickets will be on sale from September, ticket prices will be £4 per adult, £2 per child or a family ticket for £10, ticket prices will include a wine and cheese supper.

Hamper raffle baskets

Due to the enormous success of this year's summer fayre hamper raffle we are appealing to you to keep a watchful eye out for suitable baskets ready to use next year, please bring them to Suzanne Lovie at main band practice.

Watchet Tour 2011

Please keep an eye out for a questionnaire circulating to all members regarding the proposed Martlesham Brasss band visit to Watchet, Somerset next year. Your responses/feedback is crucial to the organisation of a successful trip, your co-operation will be appreciated.

Baritones spaces in Intermediates

There are spaces in the Intermediate Band for Baritone players. If you�d like to apply, please speak to your bandleader in the next few weeks.

To help with the administration of subs, please remember that there is the option to pay by standing order. Please speak to Mary Aldous if you wish to pay by this method.

Summer Fayre Stall
