8th May, 2009 - May Newsletter
Our ever-popular Spring Concert will be on Saturday 16th May at 7pm in the Kesgrave Community Centre - everyone is welcome.
Tickets are £2.50 - please do what you can to help ticket sales, as we always appreciate a full audience!
Summer Fayre Update
Grand Draw - you will shortly be receiving your allocation of draw tickets, please make every effort to sell as many as you can, there will be a £100 1st prize, £50 2nd prize and many other great prizes on offer.
Other things to look out for...
Summer Hampers - each band will be asked to put together a summer hamper to be raffled on the day of the fayre, please keep an eye out for lists of products needed to put the hampers together. Volunteers will be needed closer to the day to assemble the hampers ready for the raffle.
Family stalls - don't forget there will be a chance for every family to run a stall if you wish, just come up with the ideas and we will provide the prizes!
Cake Competition - of course the MB summer fayre wouldn't be the same without your lovely cake creations so get those thinking caps on and make this year's cake competition the most spectacular!
That's about if for now! Please look out for a special summer fayre newsletter in May for all of that essential fayre information.

St George's Day Parade
Thanks to all that participated in the St George's Day Parade - it was a great success. We believe that everyone now has a lyre for their instrument. If you do not, and require one, please speak to your bandleader.
Parent Rep Required
The main committee meets once per month to discuss band matters. Ideally, we require two parent representatives to contribute to the meeting. Currently we only have one, so if anyone is interested, please speak to our Chairman (Simon Chalklen). Thanks.
Lifts to Events
If you require a lift to an event, normally we can help to arrange something. If you can give a couple of weeks notice that will help, as last minute requests can cause problems.
On Sunday 24th May the Intermediate Band will be appearing at the Framlingham Gala, and we are hoping that the weather will be kind this year so that the audience can enjoy their strawberries and cream in the sunshine!
