Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

Carolling

We had a brilliant Carolling season over Christmas, and thanks to all players who turned out in all weathers and also a very big thank you to all the collectors, since without them no money would have been raised for the charities.

We managed to raise just over £3,400, which will enable us to make a donation of £569.74 to each of these local charities:

- East Anglian Childrens Hospice
- Kidney Research, Ipswich
- Families In Need (FIND), Ipswich

This means that over the past 13 Christmas seasons, Martlesham Brass has now donated more than £10,000 to local charities.

Brett Baker

We have an exciting day planned for the 28th of February. Brett Baker, from the Black Dyke Band will be visiting us for a day workshop. In the evening, he will be performing in concert with the main band.

The tickets for the concert are now available â" priced at £3.50 each (children of band families aged up to 16 free), which are available now. Please make sure you get your tickets soon!

Posters will soon be available, and wed be grateful if you could take a few to help promote this concert.
