Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

Suffolk Coastal District Council â" Revenue Grant

We are pleased to report that Suffolk Coastal have granted the band £250 towards practice costs.

Auditions

The main band currently has vacancies for two cornets and one tenor horn player.
The intermediate band also has a vacancy for a trombone player.
If youd like to apply for one of these positions, please speak to your bandleader.
There is an informal audition process, which involves playing a prepared piece, as well as sight reading and a chat.
Auditions will be held in a few weeks time. If successful, you will move after the summer.

Band Beginners Books

If you currently have a band training book that you no longer require, please could you hand these back to Mike Brierley, so that they may be distributed to our new set of beginners.

During the course of the afternoon we would really appreciate some of your time to help us supervise the stalls. Additional assistance is crucial as many of the fundraising committee will be performing at some point during the afternoon! If you can help please email [email protected] or look out for the sheet to complete at band practice over the next few weeks.

And last but not least ... The chance to chill out in the sun (fingers crossed!) and listen to all of the bands that make Martlesham Brass.
