Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

Social dates for your diary....

Beetle Bingo Social with chips - Saturday 25th March. St Michaels Church - 6.30pm
Tickets on sale at the AGM - £3 no food, £5 sausage chips, £8 fish and chips
For those lovers of Beetle drives and Bingo! Come and join in the fun and a chance to show off your artistic Beetle drawing skills!
Summer Social - 24th June, 4pm St Michaels - Band Family Picnic, rounder's competition and indoor board games (for those less energetic!!)
Sunday 1st October â�" 21st Birthday Celebration Sunday lunch - we are investigating the possibility of a band Sunday lunch at a local pub, please keep an eye out for further information closer to the time.

Birthday Concert Workshop

We are excited to announce that we will be having Alan Fernie (one of the best brass band composers and arrangers - and who composed our Sounds of St Michael�s piece) join us for our Spring Concert on the 20th of May.
During the day Alan will be hosting workshops with all members of the bands. Please keep this date free in your diary!

Door duty

Would you be willing to help out on �Door duty� at band? We need some volunteers to help on the door just for an hour once a month. If you can help just ask the person on door that week. Many thanks.

Good Friday

There will be no band practice on Good Friday â�" 14th April.

Practice arrangements for April

Inters will practice in the scout hut and Prelims are in the church.

Instrument Spring Clean

If you have a band instrument, please try to find time to give it a bath and a clean. We can supply you with valve oil and grease if you need it.
If you have any stuck valves or slides, or any other problem with your instrument, please speak to your bandleader.
