Tea and Tunes - 1st March 2014
Tea and tunes is an informal get-together of prelim players and their families and friends. Everybody is welcome to join them at St Michael's church from 10.00- 12.00. This year there will be an Easter themed chocolate tombola stall alongside the usual cake stand. All donations gratefully received please bring along on Friday 28th February.
The band would like to express their thanks to the Roger David Burrows Music Fund who has awarded the band £62 to purchase the Cajon percussion instrument. If you are not sure what a Cajon is look out for Sam playing at the next concert!
We will soon start planning our grand summer fayre, as many of you know this is a major fundraising event for the band and any offers of help or ideas for stalls would be gratefully received, please email Jayne to express your interest/pass on your idea.
Also, you may be aware that Martlesham Brass Band will be 18 years old this September and it would be nice to organise an 18th Birthday party, please email Jayne if you have any ideas for how you would like to celebrate.
Intermediates- third cornet
The Intermediate band has a space for third cornet. If you are interested in the position please speak to the bandleaders.
Do you have a garage in which band can store the trailer? The band would need to access the trailer each Friday and for other events during the year. If you can help please let the band leaders know.
