Tea and Tunes 7th March 10:00-12:00
Come along and bring your friends and family listen to the Preliminary band. There will be refreshments available as well as some craft stalls etc.
Friday 3rd April
No band practice as it is Good Friday
Band workshop and concert with Richard Marshall on Saturday 11th April.
Richard Marshall is Principal Cornet of the world famous Black Dyke Band, a position that is heralded as the "hottest seat in banding." Before this, Richard spent ten years as Principal Cornet of the Grimethorpe Colliery Band. As a respected and devoted teacher, Richard is cornet tutor at the Royal Northern College of Music and Birmingham Conservatoire. He is a regular tutor for the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain and the International Brass Band Summer School, and has previously worked with the National Children�s Brass Band of Great Britain and National Youth Brass Band of Wales.
There will be free workshops during the day for band members, and a concert in the evening. Tickets will be on sale soon.
Practice arrangements
From the 13th March Prelims will be in the scout hut until 24th April inclusive, and Inters in the church Hall. From 1st May Prelims back in the church and Inters are in scout hut.
Back row cornets required in the Main Band
The Main Band currently has vacancies for back row cornets. For more information and to apply please see Adam or your bandleader by the 20th of March.
